Rankin Inlet’s windmill back in action

CBC (North) – In spite of problems facing Nunavut’s windmills, energy officials say they still believe wind energy can still be an option for some communities. “It would become part of the bigger work that we’re doing,” said Meghan Bennett, director of the Nunavut Energy Secretariat. “We’re looking at wind and all other alternative energy potentials for communities across Nunavut. Some of the plans for expanding — for example, looking at wind farms — would also have to take into account capital requirements.”
