From Igloos To The Internet: The Inuit In The 21st Century With Pita Aatami

Weekday (KUOW – Seattle) – There are no roads to Nunavik, the northern region of Quebec, Canada. Snowmobiles and dogsleds are the primary means of transportation. There are only 14 villages, though the land is larger than California. In 2007, the Inuit of Nunavik agreed to create a regional government. Pita Aatami (President of the Makivik Corporation) joins us from Nunavik.
