Quebec Premier Charest announces the establishment of Parc national du Lac-Temiscouata

Gouvernement du Québec – Quebec Premier Jean Charest, accompanied by Minister of Natural Resources and Wildlife Minister responsible for the Bas-Saint-Laurent, Claude Béchard, today announced the creation of a new park, Lake Temiscouata National Park, which will become the second largest park in Québec south of St. Lawrence after the Gaspé.  “Creating a national park is a gift for all Quebecers, because this will enable us, and especially our children and grandchildren, to continue to enjoy our natural heritage.  Preserving flora, fauna and ecosystems will leave a lasting legacy for future generations,” said the Premier.
