About Us: Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival

Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival – Every November, the Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival (WAFF) showcases the best in indigenous film and video from across Canada, the U.S. and the world. Both on-and off-screen, WAFF’s mandate is to celebrate and cultivate indigenous storytelling … We promote the media arts as a career path to indigenous youth: from providing new and nascent First Nations, Metis and Inuit talent the exciting and educational opportunity to debut their work before a local and supportive audience, to entry-level developmental workshops, to our annual youth pitching forum, the winner of which opens the subsequent year’s Festival.
